While the cameos of old were made of materials such as shells, lava, gemstones or glass, these are made with resin.
I purchased the cameo from a maker in Vermont and have woven a pattern meant to evoke feelings of old, bringing up thoughts of the Victorian Era and also of ancients who adorned themselves in these lovely pieces. I like the idea of wearing a cameo choker, and touching it throughout the evening, pondering the lives of ancestors who may have also enjoyed these special embellishments.
Made with .5mm waxed macrame cord with freshwater pearl embellishments. It’s quite delicate.
