While the cameos of old were made of materials such as shells, lava, gemstones or glass, these are made with resin.
The cameo is from a maker in Vermont and I have woven a pattern meant to evoke feelings of old, bringing up thoughts of the Victorian Era and also of ancients who adorned themselves in these lovely pieces. I like the idea of wearing a cameo choker, and touching it throughout the evening, pondering the lives of ancestors who may have also enjoyed these special embellishments.
Made with .5mm waxed macrame cord. It’s quite delicate.
